Announcements
Partly sunny skies give way to some amazing spring skiing here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! This is Powder Hound barking out your second to the last report for this 2013 ski season. We have seen some beautiful conditions this year and these last couple of days on the slopes will not disappoint! A fresh 3 inches of pow decorated the area last night and another system is scheduled to move in tonight with another 2 inches possible. With a season snowfall total of 160.5 inches and a base of 41 inches stretched out over 900 acres of pure fun, there is no reason to be anywhere else but in line for the next chair on any of the 12 lifts that are spinning their wheels today, Saturday, April 6, 2013. Cruise down 92% of the beginner and intermediate terrain offered, or 100% advance terrain that is available. Or take it to the next level on 55% of our extreme territory. A full 86 trails are now accessible with 54 of those runs groomed to the best corduroy you will find in Colorado! Make your way on over to North Pass, as the Groomers have given word it holds some sweet spots!

Roost the Butte starts today! Come enjoy the excitement of snowmobile racing! Practice will start at 10am and the races will start around 11:30am. For those who don’t have ski passes and would like to watch the event and not ski, the resort will be handing out free tickets for foot traffic spectators only at the base of the Gold Link Lift. This will allow spectators to take the Gold Link lift up and walk down. Downloading will not be allowed for anyone and those with skis, must have a valid ski lift ticket or pass. For more information visit www.skicb.com/roost.

I have had a blast fetching up the news for you this season and can’t wait to do it all again next year! See you on the hill!
