Good morning Crested Butte enthusiasts! Today, March 15, is going to be another phenomenal day on the mountain! We’ve received over 21 feet of snow this season and there is more powder in the forecast! Today’s base is 76” and there are 1,167 fun-tastic acres of terrain currently available for you to make turns on! 100% of our terrain is open, 121 trails, 67 of them groomed with “Colorado’s Best Corduroy,” and 14 lifts are turning today. The rumor from the groomers is that Paradise Bowl is going to be sweet today! Did you know Backcountry Magazine’s Basecamp tour is here today and tomorrow? $20,000 worth of gear will be available throughout the weekend for demos. Be sure to check out the Basecamp demo tents in the base area right by the Adventure Park! To top it off, Backcountry Magazine is donating the demo gear for a raffle to benefit the Crested Butte Ski Patrol dogs and the IAN Fund. Raffle tickets are available for purchase through Ski Patrol at East River and Patrol Headquarters and other local vendors. The drawing will be held at Butte 66 tonight! Butte 66 is definitely the place to be this evening as there will be a free concert by Salem and the Todd Anders Johnson band along with the raffle! Salem is a blend of hip-hop beats, jazz, and neo-soul, so come for après and stay for the party! Butte 66 also serves a delightfully delicious dinner! With marvelous conditions, lots of activities, and plenty of fun to be had, it’s time for me to hit the slopes! There’s a ton of excitement expected, as well as a fresh coat of snow, so we sure hope to see you on the slopes today! Enjoy another day in Paradise!
