Announcements
Good morning from Crested Butte Mountain Resort! Today is Saturday, December 17, 2016.

Powder hounds rejoice! We have received 21 inches of new snow in the last 24 hours, 29 inches in the last 48 hours and 40 inches in the last 7 days and it just keeps on coming! This morning it will keep snowing with powder and packed powder conditions. We have 350 acres of groomed trails and 560 acres of total open terrain spread out over our 11 open lifts. Today, East River, Gold Link and Teocalli Lifts open for the season!

From December 18 - December 23, the Rock on Ice team returns to Mt. Crested Butte for an ice carving festival in celebration of the holiday season. Be amazed as two of the world’s most renowned carvers create larger than life sized sculptures of animals, holiday characters and other iconic figures out of blocks of ice. The event will feature daily ice carving demonstrations, including interactive sculptures perfect for family photos and a dazzling ice sculpture garden in the Courtyard at Mountaineer Square.

Do the kids have energy to spare? Check out CBMR’s base area Adventure Park, complete with miniature golf, bungee trampolines and a 28-foot, 6-route climbing pinnacle with auto-belay. The Adventure Park opens for the season on December 21. Tickets are available at the Adventure Center in Mountaineer Square and at the Rental & Demo Center located in the Treasury Building.

That’s all for your Saturday morning snow report! Start the weekend off with a little time in the white room!
