Hello weekend with blue bird skies in store for us here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. We saw a little snow yesterday that coated our landscape in a fresh dusting of white adding just a little to the 5 inches we have had over the last 7 days. Our season total is at 111 inches and with another storm looking to move in by Sunday afternoon, we can expect that number to climb. This is Powder Hound barking out another fantastic report to start your weekend off right this Saturday, February 16, 2013. Grab the gear and hit the door to catch any of the 14 lifts we have spinning, as Teocalli and Twister spark to life today, which will drop you down on 949 acres of amazing terrain, 280 of those acres smoothed out in the finest corduroy in Colorado. A base of 35 inches is spread out over 100% of the beginner, intermediate, and advance terrain available and 74% of the extreme terrain being offered. Find a powder stash along one of the 89 trails currently open or make some wide, smooth turns on the 54 groomed passable trails. With sunny skies above and temps in the 30s, you will want to lather on the sunscreen today! Make sure you take a few laps down International while out, as the Groomers have chosen it as their choice run today!
